Completely revamped course management tools
Ascriptica’s course manager is several times faster than the old version and has many cool features that improves your experience.
In order to use the course manager you must have admin or category admin access. This needs to be set from the FirstClass user manager form as shown below:

Admin access will provide full access to configure the entire system.

Open the user manager

Edit the user in question

Add the admin role to the user

Category admin access will provide access to manage courses and submit them for approval.

Add rich text descriptions to courses. Set your own font, size, style as you desire for a richer experience.
Add images to differentiate your courses
Improved menu system for better navigation. At a glance it shows you what you have completed and what is still left to be done. The menu items have also been reorganized to group like items together.
Ascriptica allows you to extend the courses by adding your own fields. We no longer force you to page through each field because we’ve reorganized this part of the system so that they are all displayed on the same page. These fields are also made available to the students during the registration process as additional information.
Enrollment restrictions has been updated to allow you to restrict courses using FCWS/Active Directory/Local work locations and positions in the database.

Setting up the restrictions

To restrict a course by FCWS/Active directory simply turn on the following setting:
To restrict a course by the work locations and positions in the database turn on the following setting by going to admin then Login configuration

Using the restrictions

To leverage any of the above types of restrictions during the creation of a course simply type in either the FCWS/AD group/Work location or position name and the system will auto search and provide a list of groups/work locations/positions that match your search. You may restrict the course to as many groups/work location/position as you like.
During registration, the system will check if the user is a member of the FCWS/AD group or if the user is associated with the restricted work location(s) and/or positions.
Survey questions have also been revamped and supports rich text questions:
The course manager has been over hauled making it easier to find/update/change/delete your courses:
Filter the list of courses to those you have created
Switch between the card view and a traditional list view
Export the list of courses if you would like to work with it in XL for reporting purposes
Select one or more courses to approve if you have the appropriate permission to do so.
By default the course manager opens in advance search mode allowing you to search using one or multiple fields to find the course or list of courses you need
Create a new course from scratch by clicking the “New” button or start by using an existing course. To start from an existing click the “Duplicate” button.
